Sunflower oil products

Resulting from the pressing of the sunflower seeds, the sunflower oil is being used in the food industry as cooking oil (refined) or salad dressing (crude). Nowadays also a part is being used to use it as feedstock for the biodiesel production.

Crude sunflower oil ( CSBO ) comes from the pressing of the sunflower seeds.

Refined sunflower oil comes from chemical of physical refining of the crude oil.

Sunflower acid oils / fatty acids is a by-product from the neutralization process of the sunflower oil. The high linoleic content make this a valuable component in the animal feed industries.

Sunflower distillate is a by – product from the deodorization process of the sunflower oil. The chemical composition make this a highly demanded feedstock for the use in the HVO biodiesel production.

Sunflower lecithin comes from the degumming of the crude sunflower oil.
